Huntsville Swing Dance Society

Oh man, what a weekend! I've been to Lindy Exchanges that didn't have the selection and quality of music, dance, and camaraderie we had this weekend! The expanded dance floor at the Monkey has elevated it to the premier location in Huntsville for social dancing. Miss Tess and the Bon Ton Parade and Christabel and the Jons were incredible! We had so many good dancers, both young and old, Huntsville, and out-of-towners.

The workshop was great too! Who knew that Peabody and Shag would be so tiring! I'm looking to really starting to dance shag socially in Huntsville and I KNOW Ben will be doing Peabody! Thanks to everyone that came and we look forward to spreading these new styles!

And what better way to cap off a weekend than with Rocket City Jazz Orchestra. We just can't say enough about them. They even published their song list and speed for the dancers which was great! I think everyone had a fantastic time. In the words of a beginner who was just getting into it, (and I quote loosely) "I'd really like to try and learn. Everyone just looks like they're having such a fun time!"
